so this is were i wann vent about how much i hate emo. Now emo was understandable when it wanst ppular and it was underground. Like i love rehhie and the full effect and no motiv..... they could be classified as emo, but dumb bands like yellow card and good charlott (who i think is emo cuz they are not punk at all). but then that again brings up another question what clasifies a band as emo? because their are good underground bands that are not ounk yet they are not emo and the sing about how horrible life is, but they dont fit the mold of either catagory..... i dunno i leave the question open what makes a band emo?

No offence meant, but it sounds to me like you like a band due to it's popularity, not what it really is. It also sounds like you will only go by a certain genre. You should expand your style and like what you like.
Is it me, or should that be in a fortune cookie. A4 piece of paper.

how do i like a band because of its popularity? because they are not popular i like them? im confused? i dunno it was a while ago that i posted that but i think what i was really mad about was the huge epic music classification. like what you listen yo now determines the social group you are in, and to me music really shouldn't be a divider but a middle ground. And like with pink floyd, like this is what a guy siad to me "you think your better than everyone becuase you listen to pink floyd"...... argg! noooo! i think that pink floyd is kick @ss and thats why i listen to them and thats how it is whith everyone else i listen to. Popularity? well i listen to "popular" stuff i guess like bright eyes, and red hots if those are in fact popular, and non popular stuff like the get up kids, anti-flag, the dredge, and old school underoath ....and all genres of music? i dont stick mainly to a genre! i mean are you listening? arena rock to grunge, to pop, to scream, to punk, to reggae, to classic, to folk....and usually those dont fit into a uhem genre. So it seems to me that you completly mistook and warped what i was trying to convey. It wasnt superiority, yet more of anger and frustration over the lack of originality from the new bands, and stupidity of the people around me.
