What are your opinions?
Reading alot about the English man who has been taken captive by terrorists and it really makes you think about what the right thing to do is. Do you negotiate with terrorists which may lead them to believe that they can get what they want by kidnapping civilians? Or, do you say no to negotiations, killing the English man, but possibly saving more victims in the long run? It is such a hard decision to make. When you look at it as a whole, you cant let these terrorists win and not negotiating with them would hopefully show that kiddnapping civilians will not work, But when you look at the victims family crying on the news, you really wonder whether you can put that price on somebodies life. Should they have to die to save others? I certainly would not like to be a president or primeminister at this time.

Sorry guys. This subject isnt really shoved down our throats like it is in America, so it is still an interesting topic to discuss in our country, we sort of look at it from a distance. I was just trying to stimulate a bit of debate and conversation.

Here in America it's shoved right down our throats, past our stomachs and right through our colons by the bloody hand of George.

Wow. Sounds painful. I guess we really take for granted how good we have it here in Australia. We are so far away from anywhere in the world and only see glimpes of it every now and then. For so long everyone was saying that America had really gained ground and fixed up Iraq and we believed it because we didnt know any different, but now it's coming out that all that was a load of crap and it's worst than ever. Watching Bowling For Columbine the other day was a real eye opener for me. We have no idea that it is that bad over there. But I was suprised to hear that Australia still holds the world record for the most people killed in a massacre!

I'm moving to Australia, I hate America.
Are people more polite over there?

Yes, I guess they are more polite. Where I live, which is more rural area, people will say hi to you even if you are a stranger and help you out when you need it - I really like that, but in the City, the city folk are rude sometimes and keep their head down and just sort of go along with the hussle & bussle, but I try to stay away from the City as much as possible.

hahawell my opinion is that bush is an idiot! did anyone see the debates the other night?> bush has nbo idea what hes doing! i wish i culd vote, id vote for kerry, he has a plan! bush staed that we were in their for oshamma and for WEPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION, when we found noe, werein their to livertae the iraqi people, and to stop a nuclear threat. their are 35-40 countries more prone to have nuclear wepons than iraq. and while we are telling them to stop maing nuclear wepons, bush is spending money on resoearch, and trying to by a newer "better" bomb than everyone else. Go figure, bush is the hater.

Proofread, please, I couldn't understand half of what you said.
And please research before you go around saying that Kerry is all great either because his plans are more shitty than Bush's.

What makes you think Kerry's plans are any better? Do you even know what his plans are? Besides, the draft'll never pass.

Yeah but Bush won. 4 more years of a guy who could be beaten by a second grader in a spelling bee.
