I am the opposite to you Syd...i have little tolerance for the older ones and LOVE the newer ones. I think my fave would have to be the pot one ( I do not condone the activities in that episode) and the one where homer eats the chili from the mental institution and trips out...there are too many to mention...

Selina, I agree, I don't much like the old ones either. The pot one is freakin' hilarious!! There are lots of Floyd references in the Simpsons too.

yes, the only P.F reference I can think of is the hulabalooza one, with Peter Frampton and the pig he bought from Pink Floyd's yard sale. What else is there?

I think when Homer (or was it Flanders somehow?) was high on marijuana(I do not condone), he stopped at a stoplight and he was tripping out and there were hammers marching across the street.

Yeah you're right about the hammers. Didn't he have a radioactive monkey in the car or something. Yeah Simpsons is great. In Britain we have sky one though and new episodes are hardly ever on, and when they are new you never know what day it's on.

by old i meant the first 8 seasons or whatever ...thats ok then, you have to remember that Australia is like 50 million years behind everyone else with t.v series....cant wait till they release the later series on DVD, they only have up to series 4 on dvd here. I just bought the Simpsons Music related dvd, it has The episodes with The Who, The hulabalooza, and a few more which I cant remember. I just saw on t.v the other day for the first time, the episode - behind the Simpsons, and it's like a doco of the Simpsons behind the show...That was friggin hilarious. |
