I finally watched the Wizard of Oz in Synch with DSOTM last night....Oh my God, I am in total amazement. There is no way this is co-incidence. Does anyone know if the band has admitted to doing this on purpose??I read and watched a whole heap of stuff about DSOTM but they never mentioned it. Things like when they sing the word balance on "breathe" and Dorathy is balancing on the fence and falls off, and when they sing Which is Which and the two witches appear on the screen....And the funniest part was during the guitar solo on Money and the munchins are all dancing in perfect synch with the music...I laughed my head off for about ten minutes over that.
If anyone knows if the band has fessed up to planning the album to synch with the movie, please let me know.
And for all of you who havent tried it, heres how it's done (there are many theories, but this worked best for me): Start TDSOTM just as the lion does the 3rd roar.(i used 30th annaversary cd - but any will do the same job) You will know almost straight away if you have the timing right, because most of the scenes should cut in and out with the beat of the music. But a good time to fix up your timing is when Time comes on, the alarms should go off at the same time that the scene starts with that witch lady on her bike. If it is out, just pause the dvd or cd for a second (which ever is faster). Obviously, the movie is longer than the cd, so put the cd on repeat before you begin. Happy watching!!!

i've done this several times. it is strange how it lines up in parts, but i don't think it was done on purpose. but i do suggest everyone try it, it is worth a laugh.

dont worry.I went crazy too the first time I saw it. I think it is too much to be coincidence aswell. Also, when they meet the Tin Man, and they knock on his feet, you can faintly hear a knocking sound on the cd.Also I think that the rumour must have started from the band or someone affiliated to the bank or the making of DSOTM, because who would just accidently play the record and the Wiz of oz at the same time..Someone who was involved in the album would have had to spread the rumour.

It's either one of two things.
#1- Every movie is mixed in the same time signature. So that it goes along with a plethora of albums or #2- It's shite. I would actually be disappointed if I found out they did it on purpose. It takes away the creepiness. It really cheapens the whole thing.

True... I sometimes wonder if the creators of the wizard of Oz made a time machine and travelled to the future and found DSOTM and realised that it's one of the biggest selling albums ever so they went back and synched the movie to the cd, so that later on down the line, when people were sick of the Wizard of Oz, someone would figure out that it was in synch with DSOTM and sales of the video would go up again and would remain a popular movie....So really, The wizard of oz is in synch with the cd and not the other way around I scare myself sometimes...I think some really dum things...Think I should start eating meat again. My brain is shrinking.

I did this, but it got boring and I turned it off somewhere near 3/4's finished with the CD.

Even if it doesn't synch, listening to Floyd and watching Wizard of Oz is pretty trippy in itself.
